The Siemens Foundation is committing to a $30 million, 10-year investment in U.S. workforce development anticipating the need for tens of thousands of workers this decade. From residential chargers to large commercial fleets. Their efforts target underserved and underrepresented communities with an eye toward providing long-lasting and good paying jobs in the EV charging sector. 

Hyzon Motors, Performance Food Group (PFG) and Chart Industries have successfully completed Hyzon’s first commercial run with a liquid hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The 540-mile, 16-hour continuous run demonstrated the viability of on-board liquid hydrogen to fuel long distance, zero-emission transportation. 

Daimler Truck, Paccar Inc. and Cummins Inc. are forming a multi-billion dollar joint venture with China-based EVE Energy to make battery cells for electric commercial vehicles in the U.S. The total investment is expected to be $2 billion to $3 billion. For the last 14-years Motiv Power Systems has been a leader in the electric truck industry. The company has announced Argo, a new medium-duty Class 4-6 truck that will be available in 2024. Some of Motiv’s customers include Cintas, Bimbo Bakeries and Purolator. If you’ve not yet seen Amazon’s new fleet of electric cargo bikes, know that you may want one. Amazon delivery drivers in Glasgow, Scotland are switching to the cargo delivery bikes, which are now operational and reducing congestion from hubs in more than 20 cities across the UK and Europe.
