Global OEM Cenntro has announced the launch of the “Avantier Commuter”, an all-electric vehicle from its 2025 Avantier Model Series. All vehicles in the series feature compact, lightweight designs tailored for city use and neighborhood mobility. The Avantier Commuter is a four-seat, five-door passenger vehicle with 50kw power and an estimated range of up to 320 kilometers on a single charge. Having received European Union M1 type approval, this vehicle model can be marketed and sold in all EU countries and those that have adopted EU vehicle type approvals.
APM Terminals Pier 400 is adding 20 new Orange EV heavy-duty terminal tractors to their fleet at the Port of Los Angeles, marking a significant step in the port’s decarbonization journey. The company is also using the electrification project at Pier 400 to help advance the skills of its workers, establishing a new training program to increase access to EVs and enable more hands-on instruction for mechanics. Pier 400 sponsored three days of paid training led by Orange EV technicians to cover safety protocols, diagnostics and routine maintenance for the new electric tractors. The 20 yard trucks are expected to be in operation by the end of July.
