New, fast-charging infrastructure has been deployed at 130+ locations across 25+ states, thanks to a partnership between GM, EVgo, and Pilot Flying J travel centers. The collaboration started in 2022 and is working towards 2,000 chargers at up to 500 Pilot Flying J locations. The network is aimed at connecting major travel corridors, making road trips along major highways more feasible for EV drivers. Adding charging infrastructure to Pilot and Flying J locations also provides amenities for travelers like lounges, Wi-Fi, comfortable restrooms, and an array of food and beverage options. The chargers are in well-lit, centrally located areas with 24/7 access, increasing their safety and appeal no matter the time.

As of March 25th, owners of certain electric Hyundai vehicles can now access to Tesla Superchargers with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter. The complimentary adapters enable vehicles with a Combined Charging System (CCS) port to utilize the 20,000 strong Tesla Supercharger network, effectively doubling their fast-charging options. Adapters are available for the KONA Electric, IONIQ Electric hatchback, and IONIQ 5 and 6 models, and won’t be needed for current and future vehicles produced with the NACS port. In addition to expanding charging access for their customers, Hyundai is also celebrating the opening of its new manufacturing plant in Savannah, Georgia, dubbed the “factory of the future”. The largest economic development project in the state’s history, the new plant will also introduce collaboration between Hyundai and academic institutions for local workforce development initiatives.
