Electric truck manufacturer Bollinger Motors is partnering with EO Charging to provide commercial fleet customers with EO’s suite of charging solutions and services. Bollinger launched their B4 Chassis Cab last year, an all-new, all-electric class 4 commercial truck designed with extensive input from fleets and upfitters. The B4 is fully compatible with EO charging hardware, allowing customers to source and pair their vehicles and infrastructure with ease. With over 100,000 charging units deployed over 1,000+ sites globally, EO Charging provides charger installation, a complete tech stack, and 24/7 support to guarantee >99% uptime.
In further partnership news, electric vehicle and technology powerhouse REE Automotive has partnered with telematics and fleet management provider Geotab to enhance data analytics for fleets in North America. Those purchasing REE’s software defined vehicles can utilize Geotab’s data-driven intelligence to optimize fleet performance. The world’s #1 commercial telematics provider, Geotab’s GO platform analyzes metrics like speed and range to give operators actionable insight. Integrated with the REEai Cloud, fleets have access to the most comprehensive data possible to streamline performance.
Customers needing infrastructure solutions on a budget might be interested in a new partnership between InCharge Energy and vendor finance provider, DLL. InCharge provides charging solutions and service offerings to fleets of all sizes with a range of customizable financial solutions to suit diverse needs and budgets. DLL is an international leader in asset finance solutions for equipment and technology, with a focus on supporting clean energy and decarbonization initiatives. By working together, InCharge and DLL aim to further the landscape of customized financing solutions to accelerate the transition to EVs for businesses, schools, and other organizations.
Global technology and engineering provider Chargepoly was selected to build out charging infrastructure for Nationex’s heavy-duty EV fleet. Operating one of the largest electric fleets in Québec, Nationex recently celebrated delivering one million parcels via EV. The project is part of the Québec-Montréal Corridor Vert initiative, a public-private partnership aiming to electrify transport corridors across Québec and into Ontario. Chargepoly specializes in all-weather charging infrastructure for medium and heavy-duty fleets delivering up to 400kw of power. In addition to hardware, Chargepoly offers a full suite of EVSE services from installation and operation to optimization and maintenance.
On the heels of the news they’ll be offering their electric vans to fleets and businesses of any size, Rivian has launched an upfit program for customers. Partnering with several commercial vehicle providers, the Upfit Program seeks to simplify the ordering process and offer fleet managers an experience similar to a dealership. Rivian’s R1T, R1S, and delivery van are all eligible for upfitting.
The General Services Administration, responsible for managing buildings owned by the federal government, announced plans to start disconnecting their EV chargers. Referring to the hundreds of nationwide chargers as “not mission critical”, decommissioning the chargers means neither government owned vehicles nor privately owned vehicles will be able to charge at federal buildings. While the federal government had plans to replace hundreds of thousands of vehicles with EVs under the Biden administration, the GSA is now reportedly looking to offload their EVs.
