Vote for SXSW 2023 Fleet Electrification Panel, Featuring CALSTART Lead Project Manager Jessie Lund

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference annually hosts innovators, thought leaders, and experts from industries as diverse as technology, film, and music for 10 days of information sharing and collaboration.

Panels were proposed earlier this year, and among those chosen to be voted on for inclusion at SXSW 2023 was “Diving in Fleet First to Unlock Electrification.” Included in the proposed contributors for this panel is CALSTART’s own Jessie Lund, Lead Project Manager for Truck and Off-Road. The panel will also include Courtney Ehrlichman, Head of Strategy, Panasonic; Mike Roeth, Executive Director, North American Council for Freight Efficiency; and Katherine Garcia, Director for the Clean Transportation for All, Sierra Club.

The panelists will discuss the following:

• Advantages of converting fleets to electric vehicles (EVs)
• Incentives available to assist fleets in making the conversion
• Benefits that will be realized by fleets, disproportionately disadvantaged communities affected by vehicle emissions, and the environment as a whole
• Challenges to electrification that are successfully being overcome

This panel will present important information about fleet electrification in a setting that hosts an abundance of innovative thinkers and influencers – the very best environment to promote the switch to EVs and generate ideas on new approaches to doing so.
