ZM TRUCKS

Details

ZO Motors North America LLC A few years past, the idea of leveraging mature Asian supply chains to enter the nascent New Energy commercial space in Japan led to the creation of ZO Motors. ‘Z?’ in Japanese means ‘Elephant’. We associate the elephant with strength, longevity and intelligence. The perfect characteristics of what a commercial work truck should be. We focus on straight truck urban transportation segments in the near term, where we believe Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) benefits can be achieved vs. traditional internal combustion (ICE) vehicles. Over the longer term, we see our product portfolio enter other segments as market demands for zero emission trucks and buses increases and become commercially viable. Our parent company is ZO Future Group, a group investment holding company, mainly engaged in four business segments, including operating a professional football club in the UK and its related operations, new energy vehicle production, research and development, sales and related supporting businesses, property investment management, and healthcare-related businesses. The company was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2002 with the stock code 02309.HK. ZO Motors North America LLC is a ‘domestic’ entity, 20% owned by the Group and 80% owned by US investors. We operate and plan manufacturing facilities in Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Serbia, Turkey, Canada and the USA either wholly owned or in Joint Venture entities. We offer powertrain solutions in BEV (7 models) starting 2024 and 2025, FCEV (1 model) starting 2026 and H2i (2 models) starting 2027. In the USA we are launching a Class 4 van (ZM4), a Class 6 work truck (ZM8) and a Class 8 work truck (ZM22) later this year and in 2025. Our products are singularly focused on the work truck segment with dual ePTOs as standard, large ‘in-frame’ battery packs, powerful e-axles and optimized for overnight 20kW AC charging while also offering standard DC charging capabilities. We offer a complete Ecosystem of services including leasing, financing (Mitsubishi Capital) , connected services (Geotab), incentive management (Walnut), Carbon Credit management (Fuse), Upfitting (Karhof, Morgan, Wabash) and Physical Liability insurance (various cariers). ZM Trucks (the western interpretation of the brand) will work with select franchised dealers which will be announced over the next few months as well as its own dealership in SoCal.
