UCLA Transportation’s Fleet & Transit Division provides total fleet management services for approximately 1,200 University-owned general purpose and specialty vehicles/vessels through its Fleet Services Department. Core services include vehicle procurement, the BruinCar Daily Rental Program, long-term departmental vehicle assignments, fueling, and incident management. The Transit Services Department operates the BruinBus fixed-route public transportation service in Westwood and nearby communities in Los Angeles, California, serving approximately 1.2 million riders per year. UCLA Transportation supports the UC-wide carbon neutrality initiative by restricting purchases of vehicles to only battery-electric or plug-in hybrid in classifications where these clean fuel options exist.
