Competitive solicitation for electric charging infrastructure for heavy- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has announced it will soon be opening a Competitive Solicitation for Electric Charging Infrastructure for Heavy- and Medium-Duty Vehicles and Equipment.  Up to $30 million in funding will be available under this solicitation, with over 80 percent of funds being awarded to priority communities.   

Eligible project types include electric charging infrastructure that supports private and publicly accessible: 

• Heavy-duty trucks, transit, and school buses 
• Off-road equipment, such as: 
  • Agricultural tractors and equipment  
  • Construction equipment 
  • Transportation Refrigeration Units 
  • Forklifts 
  • Cargo Handling Equipment 
  • Ground Support Equipment 
  • Other applicable off-road equipment 
• Locomotives and Marine equipment
