The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) today announced the availability of up to $409.6 million in competitive grant funds through a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for FTA’s Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Program. By helping transit agencies nationwide buy and rehabilitate buses, vans, and related equipment, and build bus facilities, the program supports the Biden-Harris Administration’s investment in American infrastructure and commitment to combatting climate change.
In support of the President’s goal to mobilize American ingenuity to build a modern infrastructure and an equitable, clean energy future, FTA is encouraging applicants to submit projects that will help improve air quality and promote environmental justice.
Instructions for applying can be found on FTA’s website and in GRANTS.GOV (funding opportunity FTA 2021-008-TPM-Bus). Complete proposals must be submitted electronically through the GRANTS.GOV “APPLY” function by November 19, 2021.
