The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research is an interdisciplinary research facility who's primary mission to service the needs of the transportation industry. CAR's primary focus areas include Electrification, Autonomous and Connected Vehicles, Safety and Security, Powertrain and Control, and Collaborative Innovation. Current research topics include: Advanced powertrain and vehicle electrification for improved efficiency, Increased vehicle intelligence, connectivity and autonomy, Net carbon free fuels, and New mobility solutions and business models, smart cities, urban logistics.
