Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) is the only public transit agency that provides fixed-route, demand-response and special seasonal transit service to a 280-square-mile area of Monterey County, California. MST provides connections to San Luis Obispo County, Santa Clara County, and to Santa Cruz County. It operates over 50 fixed routes and maintains a fleet of 78 full size diesel coaches, 8 historically-themed trolleys, 54 medium buses (including 4, 32-foot hybrid diesel –electric buses), and 3 minivans. MST, in partnership with WAVE and Complete Coachworks, is in the process of retrofitting one of the historic trolleys to a zero emission system using Wireless Power Transfer (WPT). MST is proud to join CALSTART and continue its goal of encouraging environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
